This fjord-to-capital itinerary is designed to showcase Norway in 9 days, combining world-renowned natural wonders with cultural depth and historical richness. Travelers will experience majestic fjords, heritage railways, and picturesque cities, from the coastal charm of Bergen to the peaceful beauty of Røros and the vibrant capital Oslo. This route connects dramatic landscapes with immersive local encounters, ideal for a complete and unforgettable Norwegian journey.
Arrival in Bergen, known as the gateway to the Norwegian fjords. Upon landing, your guests will be welcomed by the tour leader who will escort them throughout the entire itinerary. Private transfer and check-in at a centrally located hotel. The first day is dedicated to settling in and enjoying the lively atmosphere of one of Norway’s most charming cities.

A full day on board. Guests will enjoy stunning views of two highlights along the way: the dramatic Geirangerfjord, known for its vertical cliffs and waterfalls, and the city of Ålesund, famous for its Art Nouveau architecture spread across multiple islands. Night on board the ship.
Havila Port-to-Port Cruise
After breakfast, the day begins with a breathtaking cruise along the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. Upon arriving in Flåm, the group will transfer to the hotel and later visit the nearby village of Gudvangen. There, guests will explore the immersive Viking Village, an open-air museum that revives life during the Viking Age with historical reenactments, architecture, and crafts.
Fretheim Hotel ✩✩✩✩
Breakfast on board, arrival in Trondheim in the morning. After hotel check-in, the group will meet the local guide for a Trondheim panoramic walking tour through the historic heart of the city. You will visit the old bridge of the city, Nidelva's riverbank with its typical fishermen's houses painted in vibrant colors, and the central square. During the tour, you will also visit the Gothic-style Nidaros Cathedral. It was built in the Middle Ages and houses the tomb of St. Olaf, making it one of the most important pilgrimage centers for almost 400 years. Afternoon free.
Scandic Nidelven Hotel ✩✩✩✩
Breakfast. After breakfast, guests board the legendary Flåmsbana scenic train, considered one of the most beautiful railways in Europe. The train climbs to Myrdal Station at 867 meters, with a photo stop at Kjosfossen Waterfall. At Myrdal, a connecting train brings the group back to Bergen. In the afternoon, tickets are included for the Fløibanen funicular, offering panoramic views over Bergen and its surrounding fjords.

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, guests board a scenic train to Røros, a mountain town renowned for its mining legacy and its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980. The ancient town of Røros became famous in the 17th century for the exploitation of copper mines. The historic center has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980, and the central street, Kjerkgata, has a unique charm. Very close to the center is also the church and the Hyttklokka, a particular clock tower that warned the miners when their shift began and ended. Transfers are not needed this day, since the hotels are located in front of the train station.

The morning features a guided Bergen city tour, including the iconic Bryggen Wharf, Maria Church, and the historic city park. In the afternoon, travelers transfer to the harbor to board the Havila coastal cruise, setting sail north along Norway’s scenic coastline toward Trondheim. Accommodation in internal standard cabins.

Following breakfast at the hotel, the group will board a train bound for Oslo, traveling through some of central Norway’s most peaceful and untouched natural landscapes. This long-distance scenic rail route is perfect for quiet reflection and photography, and is considered one of the most picturesque stretches in the country. Upon arrival in Oslo, guests will be transferred to their hotel and can enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Whether taking a walk along the modern harborfront, exploring shops in Karl Johans Gate, or visiting cultural institutions such as the Nobel Peace Center, guests will enjoy the contrast between Oslo's urban energy and the tranquility of the journey just completed.
