After this, you will continue to Harstad, the gateway to the Lofoten Islands. Dinner at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will begin your journey through the lands of the Sami people, the first inhabitants of this region. In between reindeer, rivers, and mountains, you will cross the border into Finland and then Norway. You will make a stop in the town of Kautokeino to visit a small site museum, which shows the history, culture, and traditions of the Lappish people. Time for lunch will be provided here, before continuing your journey. Arrival in Alta in the afternoon. Its architectural design reflects the meaning of the northern lights, its contours spiral upward, ending in a bell tower. Dinner at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will access one of the northernmost points of the continent, the North Cape. About 30km from the small town of Honningvåg, on a rocky cliff and with a privileged and unique view over the Barents Sea, is located the North Cape's platform. This is one of the best places to enjoy the phenomenon of the midnight sun, which occurs during the summer months from late May to early July. Dinner at the hotel according to the excursion schedule.
Early breakfast. You will set out in a southwesterly direction through the Finnmark region to the city of Tromso. On the way, you will cross the Lyngen Alps, which took its name because of the great geographical similarity to the European mountain range. Two small ferry crossings will be made from Olderdalen to Lyngseidet and then from Svensby to Breivikeideten. Arrival in Tromsø in the afternoon and overnight at the hotel. Departure to explore the city with your tour leader. Optional excursion to Fjellheisen available.
Breakfast. Today you will explore the Lofoten Islands in detail. Crossing the E10 national tourist road, which is the backbone of the islands, you will be able to observe the unique and characteristic geography of its landscapes: steep mountain slopes and cliffs, white sand beaches, and small green plains. You will visit, among other things, the villages of Reine, Ramberg, and Henningsvær, Sandbotnen's bay, and the beaches of Flakstad. You will also visit the Viking museum Lofotr in the small town of Borg, which emerged from excavations carried out on the outskirts of the city. The panoramic visit to the islands ends in Svolvær where you will overnight.
Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Departure in the morning towards Sweden. Once crossing the border, you will make a stop at the Abisko National Park.
